Hey! My name Ahnaf Al Wahed, and I am a student from Tokyo International School. I live in Tokyo although I am from Bangladesh. I want to be a part of the FCC because I want develop my communication and collaboration skills, also I would like a chance to learn how to efficiently use the web 2.0 tools since a lot of the work I do at school is computer based. I think that Flat classroom is an opportunity to teach and and learn at the same time therefore it opens up a whole new perspective of learning because of the diversity of the participants. Also it gives a chance to investigate and express ideas and views of the world around us. I believe that this generation is a the first “digital” generation. A lot of people have not adapted to this and use new devices for entertainment purposes, but I want to use this opportunity to enhance my learning and really take advantage of computers and digital devices. I am looking forward to learning about the web 2.0 tools and how to use them effectively. I wish that we take a look at the emerging technologies and how it is effecting physical interaction between people. For example people nowadays would meet a random person on facebook and make a friend where as before they would physically go out and do it physically.

You are right.  You are what is recently being referred to as a "digital native".  I think we (as educators) can learn a lot from you.  How do you currently use your Information Technology Tools to advance your learning?
Also, I too am interested in the affect smartphones have on our social interaction.  I often see tables of friends focused on their phone more than the people sitting next to them.
