Hi!, My name is John Christian B. Tinio. Just call me JC. I am 13 years old and I am going to be grade 8 in the next school year. This Flat Classroom Conference is a great opportunity for me. I can meet many people, make them my friends and I can learn a lot of things. I am so glad I will be joining this fantastic conference.

The topic for the conference is "How do we help each other". For me this topic is like "Collaboration with Communication Technologies". It doesn't mean that the communication technologies are Skype, Yahoo Message, E-mails, Web 2.0 and etc. But also the mails by papers, telephones and etc. I want to learn how we communicate with the technologies we used in the past, present and also the future.

I want to attend this conference because I can have new friends, new skills and new knowledge. This is a very good opportunity for me.

Should we continue to use methods of the past ("snail-mail", rotary phones or floppy discs?)
What do we gain or lose from discarding the old and focusing on the current and future?

Great reflection JC.

Glad to see you are thinking deeply about the ways that technology impacts the world in past, present, and future.

I feel that every part of technology teaches us about the way we connect with the world and the ways we reach out to others. Technology evolves and builds on from each other, and in order to understand where we are heading then it is important to understand our roots. Great JC
