REFLECTION

This is my reflection about the conference.

I was one of the 3 lucky students that went to Qatar in the Middle East during January 2009.
Some of the things that I learnt while in Qatar were:

An understanding of others cultures. This was a big thing because too many people in the world don’t understand other people or their cultures and it puts a divider between everyone. If we could get people to understand like I did at the conference then the divider wouldn’t exist. We would exist as one.

Flying home!!

Tara and Mrs Murch had a good sleep. After a while I could hardly keep my eyes open so joined Tara and Mrs Murch. I woke up to find… Continue

Conference Day 3

We were once again woken up by Mrs Murch because we couldn't get up ourselves. HAHA. We went down to breakfast and I had potato chips and onion with pineapple and my chocolate drinks! We had to go back to our rooms and get our suitcases. We were checking out but putting our suitcases in storage till later in the night. We went to the Rec and had photos taken - schools, students, students and presenters and all adults. So many photos!! We went into the AV Room where we got 3 TED Talks. It was goo… Continue

Conference Day 2

We woke at about 5:45am when we headed to breakfast at 6:00. For breakfast I had potato cubes and pancakes also with my daily serve of pineapple and chocolate milk. We got onto the buses and went to QA once again. We got into our teams and discussed our project. We had to get a rough presentation organised for our First pitch (we actually did 3 pitches at once). We didn't even have a break. WE walked to the cafeteria for lunch. I had Fish cakes which were horrible and pasta carbanara and rice wh… Continue
