Reflection

As a parent of a student who attended Qatar I wish to reflect on the Flatclassroom conference and what it has meant for me and my family. Before Emily adventured to Qatar I didn't know what a ning was - even though I think I am reasonably capable with a computer. We didn't have skype (I didn' think it was at all necessary). WELL the truth is, the Flat Classroom Conference has changed all that for me! Through the ning, which I was able to successfully travel through, we were able to experience so… Continue

Australia Day

Why you there in Qatar are discussing many issues - we here in Australia and at Hawkesdale - a small rural town of approximately 200 population are celebrating Australia Day. It gives the community an opportunity to reflect on this great land of ours. Hawkesdale community has been apart of a pilot photography project on Climate Change. Community members were required to take photos of what they saw as climate change and today culminated in the photos being on display for every one to see. While… Continue

As usual, my life has been so busy, and I did not see the girls at all this week with swimming sports and training. Yes, I think it would be so good to go up and see him as he was so supportive of us. I will catch you next week about that. There are still things happening on this ning, which is good to see. So, I am glad that you still visit it. It kind of seems like home, doesnt it.

Ok then hope you all have a good time then!! We have just arrived at the conference for the last time. We presented yesterday and did alright but we lost which I didn't care about too much but my group did!! THis means that we don't get to make a movie with Frank (Hollywood producer) but instead stay with Vicki to do some things. Well see you all very soon. Can't believe today is our last day!! Bought some stuff at the Souk but not much cos of lack of stuff

I have learnt you cannot push technology down people's throats. When then see a need they will try and embrace it well. Love you to add a blog post about your involvement in all this and use of the ning.
