Topic: ‘Digiteen-what it means to be a digital citizen- the
Wedderburn experience’ Year 8 students from Wedderburn College will
present some of the experiences that they have gained through being
part of the Digiteen 2008 global project. Meg, Maddi, Paige and
Laura will share with you a little about their life in Wedderburn,
a small rural town in North West Victoria, Australia and through a
video featuring students from Year 8 at Wedderburn College, you
will learn more about their experiences with the Digiteen project
and what it means to be a digital citizen.
Ranjith Punnose, ME in Telecommunications, is a typical modern day
techno whiz. Working for an international financial institution
demands up-to-date technology and knowledge of the latest trends.
His responsibilities cover the managing of the activities of the
infrastructure and support teams that facilitate the daily
operations of the bank. This includes planning, designing and
maintenance of the network and server infrastructure for any
upgrades or changes that need to be implemented. He also has to
develop IT policies, procedures and best practices for the optimal
and effective functioning of the IT department.

Frank Guttler
Topic: ‘Thinking about Emerging Models of Digital Production &
Distribution. Good for collaboration, the bottom-line and the
environment’
Frank Guttler is an independent consultant and Technical Specialist
to the Los Angeles County Office of Education providing specialized
film/video/media training and curriculum to a county-wide teacher
professional development outreach program and is a classroom
instructor for a state-sponsored, career-track high school media
academy. Frank began his career as a TV/Film/Digital Media Producer
and was Associate Director of the K-12 Screen Education Center at
the American Film Institute. He blogs at LIGHTS, CAMERA LEARN!, is
a Google Certified Teacher and holds a BA degree in Cinema -
Television Arts and Electronic Media Management from the California
State University, Northridge.
