Jeff, international educator and educational technology consultant,
is passionate about the read/write web and how it can impact our
everyday lives in a positive way. In his words, “That's it...simple
and 10 minutes of why YOU are the web. Hoping to get people excited
and take control of it for their own use!”

Topic: ‘Being a Citizen in the Global Community’
Students from Oman have reached out to the world through their
desire to make a difference. They will relate their experiences
raising awareness for environmental protection and share with us
how joining the Flat Classroom Project has broadened their
educational experience and instilled essential life skills.
John Turner
Topic: ‘The digital learning revolution is already underway; and
education´s response?'
John Turner, BSc, PHD is a teacher with going on twenty-five years
experience teaching students and teachers with, through and about
computers. From the days of Logo and Appleworks through to Web2 and
ActionScript he has developed curriculum approaches that are
committed to providing generalizable, embedded educational value.
Part dinosaur, part turtle, part research hound; always learning,
always marveling at technology´s potential for powerful ideas and
students´ digital capabilities. In changing times looking for
educational pathways is his passion.
